Introduction
Negin Sang Karimi Company (trading as Karimi Stone) is one of the oldest and most reputable brands in the production and export of natural stone in Iran. The company was founded in 1967 by Mr. Reza Karimi and partners in Isfahan, and for more than half a century it has been active in the production and processing of various types of building stones, including travertine, marble, and limestone, and has specialized in their supply.
Over the years, Karimi Stone Company has always been active not only in specialized international exports but also in major domestic projects, such as the paving of the Chaharbagh Project in Isfahan, Sepah Street, Imam Ali Square, Vank Church Alley, and more. Throughout past years, it has consistently been recognized by the Chamber of Commerce as an exemplary and leading exporter.
The key to the company’s success throughout its years of operation has been innovation in services, distinctive quality, and—most importantly—honesty in communication with both international and domestic customers.
Today, the third generation of the Karimi family, together with a professional management team that combines family tradition with modern management skills, leads the company. Operating officially under the name Negin Sang Karimi Company (Registration No. 65776), it holds an operating license from the Department of Industry and Mines of Isfahan, and is a member of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and the Isfahan Stone Association.

- Historical Development and Expansion
Origin
The Karimi family began its activities in the stone industry in 1967 with the establishment of the Derakhshan Workshop by Mr. Reza Karimi and his brother in Isfahan. This workshop processed local marble and travertine stones and quickly became known for its high quality. In the following decades, the business expanded its production capacity and product diversity under the name Negin Stone Industries, and eventually adopted the official name Negin Sang Karimi Company (Karimi Stone) to conduct formal export operations. For more than two generations, the family has been engaged in the profession of natural stone production and processing. Today, the business is still managed by members of the Karimi family, who combine traditional skills with modern management methods.
Facilities and Technology Development
To meet the growing demand of international and domestic customers, the company made significant investments in production facilities. Karimi Stone operates two processing sites with a total area of 50,000 m² and 12,000 m² of covered space. These factories are equipped with advanced Italian and Iranian machinery, enabling the production of slabs, tiles, mosaics, pavers, bathtubs, sinks, and various other stone products with different finishes (polished, honed, leather, tumbled, sandblasted, etc.). This investment in technology and capacity has made the company one of the leading stone-processing enterprises in Iran and one of the largest exporters of natural stone.
- Scope of Activities
Initially, the company’s focus was on stone quarrying, but today Karimi Stone manages several business lines:
- Import of stone tools and machinery: The company established Negin Stone Trading to import stone-cutting equipment and other tools from China, Turkey, and Italy. Supplying high-quality tools to local factories increases both production efficiency and product quality.
- Production and export of processed stone: In addition to raw blocks, the company produces slabs, tiles, pavers, curbstones, and custom-made stone artifacts. Exports are carried out to clients in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Australia. All products comply with international standards, and the company emphasizes quality packaging, timely delivery, and fast communication.
- Participation in international exhibitions: Karimi Stone Company presents its products at exhibitions such as Marmomac (Verona), The Big 5 (Dubai), the Izmir Fair in Turkey, and the Iran Stone Exhibition. The company’s certifications page highlights its participation in exhibitions across Italy, Spain, Russia, Turkey, the UAE, Qatar, and Kazakhstan. These exhibitions expand the company’s relationships with architects and distributors and shows the diversity of Iranian stone.
- Global offices: To enhance services for international clients, the company has established an office in Dubai.

- Education & Sustainability
Karimi Stone invests in customer education through guidance on selecting materials by climate, considering temperature changes, freeze–thaw cycles, moisture, salt weathering and UV radiation. Different stones have varying thermal expansion and porosity; for example, granite and basalt generally resist thermal movement and moisture better than limestone. Clients are encouraged to consult professionals, leveraging the company’s expertise to specify the right stone for each environment.
While not positioned as a formal sustainability program, the company’s focus on durable materials, efficient processing and adoption of modern machinery supports lower embodied energy and long-lasting construction.
